"This is the night in the year when... we celebrate journalists who teach the rest of us how the job gets done: how the challenges of reporting on the most extreme things people face can be done in an exemplary and ethical and innovative and fresh way."
With these words, Bruce Shapiro, Executive Director of the Dart Center, introduces the ceremony honoring the winners of the 2008 Dart Awards for Excellence in Coverage of Trauma. In this streaming video of the awards ceremony, honorees from the Cleveland Plain Dealer, NPR and WFCR speak and share excerpts from their winning work.
