2014 Rory Peck Awards

The Rory Peck Awards, sponsored by Sony, are uniquely dedicated to the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in news and current affairs. The awards honour camerawork but also take into account journalistic ability and individual endeavour. They demonstrate why freelancers are so important to the newsgathering industry.

The finalists for the Rory Peck Awards were announced on Wednesday 10 September in New York City. They come from Britain, Central African Republic, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Syria, USA and Ukraine, with work spanning four continents.
