A conversation on covering the failure of America's cities and schools

Nikole Hannah-Jones is a staff writer at the New York Times Magazine, where she focuses on education and civil rights. Before joining the Times she worked at ProPublica, and before that at local papers in Portland and North Carolina; she has also produced segments on education for This American Life. Her work has won numerous awards and spurred political action at both the local and federal levels. She will be in conversation with the Journalism School's George Delacorte Professor of Magazine Journalism Keith Gessen.

The Delacorte Lectures examine aspects of magazine journalism by leaders in the field of magazine writing and publishing.
