Reporting on Violence Against Women & Children Workshops

Dart Centre Asia Pacific will team with Our Watch, the national foundation for the prevention of violence against women and their children, for a pair of free three-hour workshops for journalists in Western Australia.

Participants will leave the workshop with a better understanding of:

• Psychological trauma as it relates to journalists;
• The impact of reporting on victims and survivors;
• Best practice principles and ethical decision making in reporting on violence against women and children;
• Practical self-care strategies when covering potentially traumatic events.
