Distinguished experts discuss what trauma does to people, and how to go beyond the superficial and tell a survivor’s true story in a way that can help them reconnect with their community; how covering trauma can affect journalists and how peer support can help; and ways to strengthen your newsroom’s trauma reporting while producing accurate and vital information beginning on the first day and as the story evolves. Who should attend: Reporters, photographers, editors, online news producers and other journalists whose jobs have them working with stories of trauma and conflict.
