Zan Strumfeld

Zan Strumfeld is the Communications & Program Associate at the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma. Zan joins the Dart Center with more than a decade of multi-faceted editorial, publishing and journalism experience. For four years, she was the Program Manager at the Logan Nonfiction Program, the leading residential fellowship program in the U.S. that exclusively supports longform nonfiction. She has worked as both a full-time and freelance reporter for newspapers and magazines, macro editor and copy editor, and as an advertising agency copywriter. Zan is also the founder of Zealous Scribbler Literary Services — a one-woman-shop for all literary needs including editing, ghostwriting, marketing and book launch/event planning. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she studied journalism, English and creative writing.
Zan splits her time with the Dart Center and as Program Manager with ACOS Alliance, a coalition of news organizations, journalist associations and press freedom NGOs working together to embed a culture of safety within journalism.
