Kelly Kennedy

Kelly Kennedy is a health policy reporter at USA Today. Before coming to USA  Today in 2010, she reported for the Military Times. Kennedy has also written for the Chicago Tribune, the Associated Press, NASA, the (Boulder) Daily Camera, the Denver Post, the (Portland) Oregonian, the Salt Lake Tribune, the (Ogden) Standard-Examiner and Readers' Digest.

In 2008, she was named a finalist for the Michael Kelly Award for a series about a military unit in Iraq. She was a 2008 Ochberg Fellow, sponsored by the Dart Center for Journalism & Trauma and a 2008 Rosalyn Carter Mental Health Journalism Foundation Fellow. She is president of Military Reporters & Editors. Her book, "And They Fought for Each Other," based on the “Blood Brothers” series she wrote for Military Times, was released March 2.
