This Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Dart Faculty Fellow Ari Goldman will present at a pre-conference workshop on teaching journalism through the historical lens of trauma at the 2013 Annual AEJMC conference. The workshop session, “The Ethics of Trauma Reporting: Teaching What Trauma Means,” will be moderated by Ginny Whitehouse, Associate Professor of Journalism at Eastern Kentucky University and 2012 Dart Academic Fellow.

Simultaneously, Associate Professor of Journalism at San Diego State University and 2011 Dart Center Academic Fellow Amy Schmitz-Weiss will present her research findings at the workshop session, “Beyond the Border: Teaching Journalism in the US and Mexico.” Following her presentation, Schmitz-Weiss will moderate a panel discussion on the topic, which will include Richard Schaefer, Jessica Retis-Rivas, and Celeste González de Bustamante, a 2010 Dart Center Academic Fellow.
