December 7 & 8 Morning Workshops
8:00 am - 12:00 pm: De Cesare will conduct a continuing workshop entitled "Trauma Aware Journalism: Craft, Safety and Peer Support" with 10 Guatemalan journalists from diverse beats and media.
December 7 Afternoon Meeting & Presentation
2:15 - 4:00 pm: Meeting with staff visual journalists at Siglo 21 and Al Dia.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Lecture presentation for 50-100 Communication Science students from the Universidad Galileo.
December 8 Afternoon Meeting
2:30 - 4:00 pm: Meeting with staff visual journalists at Nuestro Diario.
6:00 - 9:00 pm: The program will conclude with a final Conversatorio with the Guatemalan Chamber of Journalists. This portion of the event is free and open to all journalists and the public.

2:30 - 4:00 pm: Lecture for University Communication majors
4:30 - 5:30 pm: Visit with USAID supported outreach center in a barrio effected by gang violence to hear about proactive programs for violence prevention and share experiences.
December 10 & 11
7:30 am - 12:00 pm: De Cesare will conduct a two-morning workshop entitled "Trauma Aware Journalism: Craft, Safety and Peer Support" with 14 Honduran print / online reporters from diverse beats and media.
1:30 - 6:00 pm: De Cesare will conduct a two-afternoon workshop entitled "Trauma Aware Journalism: Craft, Safety and Peer Support" with 14 Honduran visual reporters, including photographers and TV camera journalists who cover diverse beats.
December 14 -17 | San Salvador, El Salvador

8:00 am - 5:00 pm: Two full days of discussion and peer support training for 10 Salvadoran journalists from diverse media and beats.

Full schedule to come: includes visit with the group of photojournalists that formed following the Trauma Awareness workshop for photojournalists De Cesare conducted in 2011; meeting with newsroom heads editors and managers to discuss security protocols and trauma aware management strategies.

Maria Moors Cabot award-winning journalist Donna De Cesare shares her reflections on a career covering visual stories in Latin America in a public talk for photographers, communicators, journalists and the general public.
