Online meeting: Bushfire reporting, self-care and interviewing

January 20, 2020
9:00am

Dart Centre Asia Pacific will host two free, online events on self-care when covering the bushfires and interviewing strategies for dealing with traumatised victims and survivors.

These conversations are open to any media professionals who have or will be covering the bushfires and the ongoing recovery.

There will be two opportunities to join the conversation: Friday January 17 at 1:00 pm or Monday January 20 at 9:00 am.

The online conversation will be broken into 15-minute segments. Participants can join according to their needs, or stay on for the full hour. There is no need to pre-register, but please make sure that your technology works with the program before the conversation begins. The chat structure will be as follows:

  • 1:45 - 2.00pm (Jan. 17) or 9:45 - 10:00am (Jan. 20): Q & A with facilitator and participants

It will be facilitated by Dr Cait McMahon OAM – Registered psychologist and Managing Director of Dart Centre Asia Pacific, and Dart Centre fellowship alumni.
