Trauma-informed Leadership and Resilience Training for Ukrainian Journalists: Session 2
Dart Centre Europe, in association with Daily Humanity, is offering a new opportunity for Ukrainian journalism trainers, psychologists, and other specialist trainers interested in supporting the mental resilience of media colleagues.
During this innovative programme - part training seminar, part opportunity for open dialogue - journalism leaders will learn how to promote psychological safety in their newsroom and networks; and psychologists and other specialist trainers will learn more about journalism culture and practice - an essential prerequisite for working with media professionals. The training will follow a holistic approach. In its 25 years of working with journalists around the world, the Dart Centre has learnt that issues around journalist mental health are best discussed in the context of the work itself. How journalists interact with vulnerable contributors, work in teams, engage with audiences all have a crucial bearing on their own mental wellbeing and resilience. The ultimate goal is to help safeguard journalists' capacity to report on the impact of this war and individuals’ recovery, reporting that is essential to safeguarding Ukraine as a free and democratic country.
