Reporting Safely in Crisis Zones Course

New York, NY - United States
The Dart Center is offering an intensive four-day crisis zone reporting course at Columbia Journalism School to prepare journalists to work safely and effectively in volatile situations such as war, conflict and disaster zones. The course emphasizes risk assessment and harm prevention. Partial scholarships will be awarded to a select number of freelance journalists courtesy of the Rory Peck Trust. The application deadline has passed.

2017 Dart Award Finalists

This year's Dart Awards went to The Salt Lake Tribune for its coverage of sexual assault at Brigham Young University and to for “A Life Sentence: Victims, Offenders, Justice and My Mother." An honorable mention went to The New York Times.
