This work examines how perception about someone’s identity, value, and character is affected by appearance— such as clothing, racial or ethnic identity, gender expression, complexion, and class signifiers—and informs our daily interactions and broader social architecture. Opening Remarks by Dean Gillian Lester. Wine and refreshments will be served.
