Announcing Gun Violence Reporting Fellows

The Dart Center has announced the recipients of its first ever reporting fellowships on gun violence. The fellows will have up to nine months to work on projects in the Midwestern United States. Learn more about the eight fellows and their projects below.

Applications Open: Reporting Safely in Crisis Zones Course

New York, NY - United States
The Dart Center is offering an intensive four-day crisis zone reporting course at Columbia Journalism School to prepare journalists to work safely and effectively in volatile situations such as war, conflict and disaster zones. The course emphasizes risk assessment and harm prevention. Partial scholarships will be awarded to a select number of freelance journalists courtesy of the Rory Peck Trust. Deadline for scholarship applications is July 14, 2017.
