Based in Mexico City, she also has been a correspondent in Brazil and Bolivia for the Spanish news agency EFE. Her experience includes being an editor and reporter for the BBC World Service and Univision Noticias. Her stories have been awarded with an Emmy, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a World Press Photo.
